Has Facebook Declared War on Conservatives? The Evidence Mounts

facebook

This is a bad time to be a conservative on Facebook.  Facebook is working overtime to ban conservatives from posting conservative postings, especially anything concerning Muslims, no matter how accurate the articles are.  I can speak to this from my own personal experience.  Several months ago I started my own website, The PC Graveyard ( www.thepcgraveyard )  My audience grew until I reached high numbers in a short period of time.

They were getting over two million hits thanks to my posts and that number is near zero now.  In the second quarter of 2015 earnings were up but the stock price dropped by 3.4% according to Business Insider on slower usage by members.   Liberal investors don’t mind losing money to further their cause, but conservatives should consider moving their money elsewhere in my opinion because the closer we get to the 2016 elections the more conservatives will be suspended.

Then a funny thing happened.  I got suspended for three days without an explanation why.  I clicked the appeal button and asked why I was suspended.  Facebook refused to answer me.  That suspension ended at 8:04 on Saturday morning.  At 8:22 this morning, I was suspended again.  Again I asked for an explanation and again all I got was silence.  I got off suspension on Tuesday and within half an hour, I was once again suspended.

Since all of my traffic was driven by Facebook and I obviously wasn’t doing anything I haven’t done for years, I decided to drop my site and work for another that doesn’t depend on Facebook.  In my opinion from my own experience and those of other conservative writers, including my very good friend, Joe Newby, journalist for the Spokane Examiner and owner of The Conservative Firing Line, I saw the writing on the wall.

Joe has been banned four times with one being thirty days for a counterfeit post.  In my opinion those posts could only come from Facebook employees.  The fake posts contained his profile picture and his name but were obviously not his.  You can tell by the childish postings.  Joe is an articulate writer and not given to mean spirited posts.  In order to make it appear as one of his postings, his password would be needed and only can come from Facebook.

Here is one of those fake postings:

Notice that the idiot who actually wrote the post has no clue that profit is the incorrect spelling of prophet.  The grammar is atrocious and must have been written by someone who does not have spell check.  I have known Joe for years and I can say without fear of contradiction that he did not write this.  He never capitalizes words to accentuate them.  Never.  This is just one of a few fake posts made under Joe’s name.

When people became aware of Joe’s persecution by Facebook, they related stories of problems they’ve had with the uber liberal Facebook.  One woman who wanted to be identified only as “Carol” was given a suspension for a supposed pornographic picture.  What was the picture of?  A lilac tree. Other pictures cited as pornographic were her granddaughter opening Christmas presents, a picture of Glenn Beck, a friend’s dog and a picture of one of her friends fishing.

Also from Joe Newby’s recent article in the Examiner:

. An administrator of a pro-Sarah Palin page told Examiner that Facebook locks her out as many as 10 to 12 times per day. This, she added, started about three days ago.

This isn’t the first time Facebook has gone “ban-happy.” As we have reported in the past, users have been slapped for saying “thank you” and clicking “like,” even though a court ruled that doing so is Constitutionally-protected free speech.

While Facebook called Carol’s lilac tree “pornography,” it has said that a page calling for the murder of a Texas Tech cheerleader who hunts big game does not violate its standards. It also shut down James O’Keefe’s page for a time after he posted a voter fraud expose.

There also seems to be a double standard on Facebook when it comes to Jews and Muslims.  Shurat HaDin – The Israel Law Center conducted an experiment.  They set up two identical websites with one exception.  One was anti-Israel and one was anti-Muslim.  They posted nearly identical posts on each one calling for the death of all Jews on one and death to all Muslims on the other.  They then reported both sites to Facebook.  Guess which site was taken down and which one was allowed to remain?

Watch this video made to document the experiment:

Consider this quote from Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook:

“As a Jew, my parents taught me that we must stand up against attacks on all communities. Even if an attack isn’t against you today, in time attacks on freedom for anyone will hurt everyone.

If you’re a Muslim in this community, as the leader of Facebook I want you to know that you are always welcome here and that we will fight to protect your rights and create a peaceful and safe environment for you.”

He has the protecting of Muslims down pat, but he seems to be having a bit of trouble defending the Jews. of which he claims to be one of.
