When prisoners at Gitmo, which is the military facility at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba, found out that Donald Trump was elected as the new president of the United States, a wave of stress fell over them.
The prisoners allegedly started to ask for sleeping pills and anxiety medication according to the Washington Free Beacon.
David Remes, a lawyer for one of the prisoners claimed that his client, a prisoner at Gitmo related that “many detainees thought that it was the end of the world and felt terrible and that many detainees asked for tranquilizers, sleeping pills because they were so distraught.”
Margret Brennan of CBS News explained that explained that President Elect Trump supported the military prison in Cuba and planned to keep using it.
Many, if not all, of prisoners at Guantanamo Bay are well known Islamic terrorists and Trump speaks out about terrorism in a way that upsets the inmates. The criminals will be asking for a lot more medication in the future, I guess.
Glad to know that Trump and terrorists don’t seem to mix well. Trump has been reported to comment on his plans for Gitmo by saying, “Load it up with some bad dudes.”
I like Trump’s view of what to do with Gitmo. It upsets me, to no end, when I hear that more detainees have been released by Obama.
Under Trump we’ll be welcoming in terrorists to Guantanamo Bay. Anyone else, except me, like how that sounds?
