Meryl Streep is one of the most gifted Hollywood actresses of our day. She is believable in every role she’s ever played, but not so believable during her Golden Globes moment when she attacked President-Elect Donald Trump for something he didn’t really do.
Okay, America has seen that the story of Trump mocking a reporter, Serge Kovaleski, for a disability, but did you know that the story has been debunked? It’s just easier for leftists reporters and Hollywood types to conveniently not mention the debunking, so here we go.
In the same speech Trump imitates a flustered general by doing the exact same arm flailing. It turns out, that’s how Donald Trump imitates someone who acts like they’re overly angry or frustrated. Kovaleski’s disability had nothing to do with it.
Trump made the same mocking gestures in another speech about rival Senator Ted Cruz. Just watch the videos here.
Neither the general nor Cruz are disabled, yet Trump mocked them in the exact same manner. And he mocked people using the same gestures before he mocked the reporter.
What we have here is Meryl Streep acting like a typical left wing Hollywood type, complete with getting the facts wrong, maybe to the point of lying, because how could Meryl Streep, Hollywood superstar, not have heard that this story was debunked? Could it be that in Hollywood today attacking Donald Trump is good for your career, truth be damned?
What’s even more ironic is Streep called for a “Committee to Protect Journalists” so that they can be protected while getting the truth out, all while she was telling a false story about our next president.
It is despicable when people of enormous influence, such as Meryl Streep, use their position to spread false stories because of an ideological narrative.

Meryl Streep accepted the Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award at Sunday night’s Golden Globes — and used her acceptance speech to repeatedly attack President-elect Donald Trump in what was one of the night’s most pointed political statements.
The three-time Oscar-winner began her speech by noting that Hollywood is the most “vilified” segment of American society following Donald Trump’s victory.
“Hollywood is crawling with outsiders and foreigners. And if we kick them all out, you’ll have nothing to watch but football and Mixed Martial Arts, which are not the arts,” she said.

Streep said Trump’s mocking of disabled New York Times reporter Serge Kovaleski was the “performance” that most “stunned” her.
“There was nothing good about it, but it did its job,” the actress said. “It kind of broke my heart when I saw it, and I still can’t get it out my head because it wasn’t in a movie, it was in real life. That instinct to humiliate when it’s modeled by someone in a public platform, it filters down into everyone’s life because it gives permission for others to do the same.”
“Disrespect invites disrespect, violence incites violence,” Streep said.
Streep challenged a “principled press” to stand up to Trump; “to hold power to hold power to account, to call to the carpet for every outrage.
Streep called on Hollywood to support the Committee to Protect Journalists, “because we’re going to need them going forward — and they’ll need us to safeguard the truth.”
“Take your broken heart, make it into art,” Streep concluded, quoting the late actress Carrie Fisher.
