Congressman Gets It – Files Bill To Repeal Obamacare… Period

There is an old saying that a mule is very intelligent, but sometimes you have to hit him with a 2×4 between the eyes to get his attention. Well hopefully that is what one representative from Alabama has done to congress. On Friday, Rep. Mo Brooks of Huntsville filled a simple one sentence bill in the House that demands that effective December 31st 2017 the Obama abortion known as the Affordable Care Act or Obamacare be Repealed.

The simple two-page document filed by Representative Brooks does what we have been sending members of the GOP to the House, Senate, and now the Presidency to get done for the last eight years. Gets rid of Obamacare and its unconstitutional mandate that all Americans must buy insurance.

Mo-Brooks

If Americans wanted this plan and if it was any good, would you really have to be threatened with a fine for not having it? Hell no! That would be like someone offering to sell you a new car for 100 dollars. You would run to the nearest ATM to get the money before he changed his mind. Introduction of the bill may act like that 2×4 and get the attention of the rest of Congress and they will finally get something done.

The bill uses one sentence of 39 words to remove the greatest offense to the Constitution and the Citizens of the United States since our inception. “Effective as of Dec. 31, 2017, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is repealed, and the provisions of law amended or repealed by such Act are restored or revived as if such Act had not been enacted.” As Porky Pig would say, “Th Th That’s all Folks.” Just one little sentence.

Brooks has long been critical of the ACA. But Brooks’ bill gets even better, it is a two fer, it will also kill the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010, as the health care aspect of that law is also considered a part of Obamacare.

Books issued a sort of “put your money where your mouth is” challenge to members of the committee saying: “If the American people want to repeal Obamacare, this is their last, best chance during the 115th Congress.” Those Congressmen who are sincere about repealing Obamacare may prove it by signing the discharge petition. “At a minimum, the discharge petition will, like the sun burning away the fog, show American voters who really wants to repeal Obamacare and who merely acts that way during election time.”

Maybe now would be a good time to contact your congressman and Representative Brooks and tell them to support the Repeal bill. After all that would be one thing done and they would have the rest of the year to figure out how they wanted to proceed.
