Geneva Robinson ran what prosecuting lawyers described as a “house of horrors” where she would dress up as her alter ego Nelda and tell her granddaughter that there were horrible creatures living in the attic.

Robinson together with her 33-year-old boyfriend; Joshua Granger, was arrested back in 2014 for child abuse.

Robinson had previously pleaded guilty to five counts of felony child abuse, admitting to scratching the girl’s neck, striking her in the face, hitting her with a rolling pin on the hand and cutting her hair while she slept.

The video shows Robinson dressed in black and wearing a wig, with her hands painted green and what appears to be a mask.

Granger can be heard saying to the terrified child: “Grandma’s sick because of you. You go with the witch.”

The clearly scared child pleaded: “I promise, witch. I promise.” Robinson dressed up as Nelda then shrieked: “You lie, you lie, you lie, little girl.”

The little girl replied: “I promise, witch,” before adding “I won’t do mean to Grandma. I won’t hit Grandma. I won’t be mean.”

Robinson then cackled: “Give me a fork and a knife,’ which prosecutors say related to another lie Robinson told the girl which was that witches eat bad children.

Defense attorney Tanya Jones told the judge that Robinson lacked resources to control the child.

“She understands she went too far,” Jones said. The defense attorney told the judge that Robinson “ruled with an iron fist” because she grew up in an era where physical discipline was common.

Robinson told the judge she currently is getting treatment and taking medication for bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.

Merydith Easter, for the prosecution, said: “What she did was horrific and what she did will forever impact this child and her siblings.”

She added: “She deserves the same amount of mercy that she showed this child, and that’s none.”

Robinson pleaded guilty to multiple counts of felony child abuse for her actions; which include:

  • pulling on the girl with pliers
  • kicking the girl in the pubic area causing a fracture to her pubic bone
  • striking the girl in her face causing injury
  • scratching the girl on the neck causing injury
  • approaching the girl while she slept and cutting off all of her hair
  • striking the girl in the head
  • withholding food to the extent that the girl had to steal food to eat
  • not seeking medical care for the girl, who was visibly suffering from ringworm
  • keeping the girl from attending school
  • forcing the girl to sleep outside with the dogs
  • cutting the finger of a six-year-old with scissors

She has been sentenced to three consecutive life sentences in prison while Granger who played his role as a demon named “Coogro”; as seen in the video whom the child cling on his shirt which he took off, was sentenced to 30 years behind bars.
