National Reciprocity Law Has 80 Sponsors in the House

The House of Representatives has put together 80 sponsors for a bill that would allow reciprocity of gun laws to cover the entire country.  No longer would gun owners need to know the laws of the states they are traveling to and no longer would they not be able to defend themselves just because they crossed into another state.  If you have a concealed carry permit, it would be valid in all 50 states and no local or state laws can be passed to reverse that right.  If your state doesn’t require a permit to conceal carry, that too would be recognized in all 50 states.

The bill will make it out of committee and reach the floor of the House.  It could pass and move on to the Senate.  Even if it passes, it’s a sure bet that Obama will veto it.  That could be the point.  This is something the republicans should have been doing since January of 2015.  Passing common sense legislation and forcing Obama to veto them.  Show the voters what is possible if Hillary does not win the presidency, while showing voters what they can expect from Hillary.

HR 923 was originally written by Representative Marlin Stutzman (R-IN).   Gun Owners of America (GOA) endorses the bill and it’s executive director, Erich Pratt told Breitbart News:

Concealed carry reciprocity legislation could begin moving in Congress real soon. So it’s important for gun owners to contact their representatives and urge them to co-sponsor HR 923, the measure which establishes reciprocity and safeguards Constitutional Carry.

Gun owners shouldn’t have to ask for permission to exercise their constitutionally protected rights. And that’s the beauty of HR 923. If it passes, all concealed carriers — even those from permitless carry states — will not have to fear prosecution when traveling with firearms from coast-to-coast.
