President Trump Prepares To Keep Another Campaign Promise

President Trump is about to sign another executive order that will drive liberals over the edge yet again. According to the Washington Times, a senior administration official said the President will sign an executive order today which will start pulling the federal government out of K-12 education throughout the country. The move will once again place education back in the hands of state and local school boards.

The move is yet another example of Mr. Trump following through on a campaign promise to return schools to state and local control. The new order has been called the “Education Federalism Executive Order,” and will order the launch a 300-day review of Obama-era regulations and guidance for school districts. The senior official said the order will also direct Education Secretary Betsy DeVos to modify or repeal measures deemed an overreach by the federal government.

With this executive order, President Trump has reaffirmed his commitment to getting the federal government out of the way and returning control over education back where it belongs at the state and local level,” said the officials, who briefed reporters on background in advance of the signing ceremony later Wednesday.

Echoing Mr. Trump’s views on education, the official stressed that since the founding of the U.S., schools were intended to be under state control, but the federal government has increasingly usurped that authority. “This EO takes a significant step toward eliminating D.C.-driven regulations that tend to control what students are or aren’t taught,” the official said.

The order is not expected to have an immediate impact on school districts. Policy changes will follow a report on the findings of the review. School districts will then need time to review the new changes and decide on plans to implement the new freedom from dictatorial federal regulations.

There has as yet been no response from Liberal “educators” but you can bet they will all be cuddling up in a safe place with a glass of white wine over this one.
