SSA employee may get fired for not watching a diversity video

SSA employeeA Social Security Administration (SSA) employee who believes he shouldn’t have to watch a workplace diversity video about the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community, because it violates his religious beliefs, fears he may lose his job because of it, the News-Gazette reported.

Christians in America assume they are safe from persecution but as with David Hall, 42, of Tolono, Illinois, who has worked for the federal agency for 14 years, based in the Champaign office, his refusal could cost him his job.

Hall told the News-Gazette that in late April, that employees throughout the Social Security Administration had received an email from the agency about a 17-minute LGBT diversity and inclusion training video that they were told to watch at their work stations.

The employees also had to inform the agency that they had watched the video.

However, Hall is a Christian, did not watch the video and stated that he is not anti-anyone or anything, but is for God and for Jesus and believes the Bible teaches that homosexuality is a sin.

Because he did not watch the so-called “diversity” video, he was given a reprimand that was placed in his file in August 2016.

Christians have always viewed that the persecuted Christians is happening only in other countries but that illusion is not true anymore.

As Fay Voshell of the American Thinker pointed out in 2015, that persecution of a hated segment of society begins gradually and accelerates stage by stage such stages. Those stages are profiled by Msgr. Charles Pope and Johnette Benkovic of Community in Mission.

Christians in America should recognize they are well into the first stages of persecution.

“For Obama, as well as for nearly all the left, people of faith are the inhibitors of “progress,” and they deserve being caricatured as Bible-thumpers, and therefore ignorant, uneducated, backward hicks and rednecks, “said Pope.
