Surfers Enjoy A Day On The Waves, Oblivious To What Awaits Them Beneath The Surface [VIDEO]

H/T Mashable

Photographer David Finlay was flying his drone and checking out the scenery at a Kiama beach in Australia on Monday — as you do — when he noticed something circling below a group of surfers hanging out in the water.

Cue Jaws music.

“There’s a shark right under the surface,” Finlay can be heard saying in the clip.

The surfers had no idea death was swimming right beneath them. Sharks don’t like to eat humans for the most part and only attack them when splashing around in water because that motion simulates a wounded animal. Surfers splash around the water to move around and position themselves.

Fortunately, the drone guy informed the beach lifeguards of the shark.
