A leaked recording of Democrats cheering, laughing with applauds when a Ohio Democratic US Senate candidate spoke at a ALF-CIO rally on August 8, 2016 about the death of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia who died of natural causes on  February 13, 2016.

Robert Laurie of CainTV reported that when at a recent AFL-CIO talk given by Ohio Senate candidate Ted Strickland (D) who joked about the death of Scalia and said that it helped the Democrat cause and that it happened at a good time and the audience laughed applauded, and cheered.

“I mean, the death of Scalia saved labor from a terrible decision, “Strickland said as the Democratic supporters cheered and applauded.

Strickland continued and said, “And I don’t wish anyone ill, but it happened at a good time, because once that decision had been made it would have been tough to reverse it.”

After being caught on audio of his comments, Strickland back-stepped and apologized not by him personally, but through a spokesperson and said, “That was an insensitive comment and I apologize.”
