Sometimes a guardian angel appears at just the right moment.
One dad found this out firsthand when he tried to board a plane with his baby daughter and found himself stopped at the ticket counter.
They told him he couldn’t bring the toddler aboard the plane. The harried dad had booked the flight months earlier. He’d bought a ticket for himself, and registered his daughter as a “lap child,” a young child who can fly for free with a parent.
Unfortunately, between booking the ticket and actually boarding the flight, his little girl celebrated her second birthday — officially too old to be a lap child. He was totally trapped.
Then, like a miracle, a guardian angel swooped in.
Like the kind passenger who helped a mom soothe her crying tot on a flight, this woman selflessly stepped up to the plate and made sure the dad and his baby would be able to travel together, no further questions asked.

The story, posted to the Love What Matters Facebook page, resonated across the internet.
Hundreds of thousands of people reacted to the story, with thousands more sharing the post or adding their own comment about the kindness of the ticket-counter angel.
The story was reported by a fellow passenger who was standing nearby when the drama unfolded.
The post reads:
This woman needs to be commended.
A gentleman was checking in for his flight when the agent asked how old his daughter was. He said she had recently turned two.
The agent then asked if she had a ticket.
The man was confused because he was under the impression she could ride for free.
(When he booked the ticket, she was one but her birthday was in January.)
He was hit with emotion.
He mentioned he couldn’t afford to rebook this flight or get her the ticket with such short notice.
He stepped aside and tried to make a few calls. Hugging his daughter and grabbing his head, you could tell he was heartbroken.
This woman next to him at the front counter heard the whole thing.
She walked over to him and asked what was wrong. After they talked for a bit they walked up to the counter together.
She pointed back at his daughter and said,
‘I wanna buy her ticket.’
The agent said ‘You know how much this ticket costs right?’
The woman responded ‘$700 something?’
‘$749′ the agent said.
The woman said ‘that’s fine’ and pulled out her credit card.
I was right there and I just said to her, ‘God Bless You!’ and they printed out the ticket.
The agent kept talking about her goosebumps while the man hugged the woman and asked for her name to repay her.
The woman just kept saying, ‘Don’t worry about it.’
She knew she wanted to help that man and his daughter no matter what the cost.
A friend of the woman later commented below, noting that she wouldn’t identify her: “I know her family, kids, and grandkids get together frequently to discuss how they can use the abundance and blessings they get to serve and give back to others. She is an inspiration every time I see her and is constantly giving freely. She is so full of love for everyone and does what is needed without being asked.”
If you love this beautiful story of a woman who didn’t blink an eye at spending hundreds of dollars for a father in need, be sure to SHARE and inspire others to do the same with whatever blessings they have!
You would think the airline would make an exception since the father had already booked his daughter as a lap child when she was still under two. It is stories like these that turn the public away from certain airlines.
It’s always nice to hear of selfless people who do good deeds for others. In a world gone mad people like this woman restore our faith in humanity.
