Former AG Says Trump Is Likely Right About Surveillance At The Behest Of Obama DOJ [VIDEO]

This is speculation at this point, but Mukasey does seem to know what he’s talking about, and being a former Attorney General of the United States, in my opinion, I’ll give him a little credibility.

If this turns out to be true it will be the hottest political scandal of all time.  Will the usual suspects in the mainstream news media even cover it?  Highly doubtful.  In fact, it’s a pretty sure bet that they will continue to call Trump a crazy conspiracy theorist.

A spokesman for Obama denied that the former president or the White House ordered any such surveillance.

“A cardinal rule of the Obama Administration was that no White House official ever interfered with any independent investigation led by the Department of Justice,” Kevin Lewis said in a statement.

So, when Attorney General Loretta Lynch met with Bill Clinton on the tarmac in Arizona did she stop believing in cardinal rules that day or what?

Former Attorney General Michael Mukasey told ABC’s This Week on Sunday that President Trump was likely correct that the Obama administration wiretapped Trump Tower.

The Hill reported:

Former Attorney General Michael Mukasey on Sunday said that President Trump is likely correct that there was surveillance on Trump Tower for intelligence purposes, but incorrect in accusing former President Barack Obama of ordering the wiretapping.

“I think he’s right in that there was surveillance and that it was conducted at the behest of the attorney general — at the Justice Department,” Mukasey told ABC’s “This Week.”

Trump on Saturday accused Obama of wiretapping Trump Tower in New York City just before the November election…

…Mukasey, who served as the attorney general under former President George W. Bush, said he believes there was surveillance on Trump Tower after reading certain news reports.
