[Photos] Women Who Are Using THIS Popular Nail Polish Brand Are Experiencing Terrifying Side Effects.

Can you imagine the horror of watching your fingernails rot away? Well that is exactly what is happening to the users of a certain brand of nail polish known as “Mentality”.

From IJR:

An independent nail brand called Mentality came under fire after its Neon Jelly Holo nail polish collection used an ingredient that may or may not have been tested to its fullest extent. According to Seventeen, people who have used the products claimed that the nail polish was burning their nails, and causing them to develop onycholysis, meaning their nails were pulling away from the nail beds… The “sensitivity” (as described by the company) was caused by a new base ingredient called, Arminex. However, because Mentality is an indie company, it is not required to perform the same level of testing that companies such as Essie, Sally Hansen, Wet N’ Wild, are required to do by law.

Here’s what they saw after removing the nail polish:

Now Mentality claims they have fixed the problem:

A lot of women were rightly upset that Mentality called the problem a “sensitivity” rather than take responsibility for ruining their nails.
