Students across America are bringing their Bibles to school today as part of a nationwide effort spearheaded by Focus on the Family, a Christian organization.
The group launched “Bring Your Bible to School Day” last year to “encourage public school students from kindergarten to college to express their faith freely,” and the one-day event appears to be growing exponentially this year, with an expected 100,000 participants.
The 2014 event attracted an estimated 8,000 participants.
