WikiLeaks released an email from Hillary’s press secretary, Brian Fallon. In the email, Fallon describes Clinton’s preparations for an upcoming conversation on gun control on NBC’s Today Show. He talks about universal gun control, the gun show loophole (That doesn’t exist) but also using Executive Orders to implement them along with preventing individuals from transferring guns. Clinton wants to force them to go through licensed gun shops that would require a federal background check and would essentially make the cost prohibitive.
From The Conservative Tribune:
In other words, an executive order closing the mythical “gun show loophole” wouldn’t have the practical effects its advocates claim, but it would afford the left an opportunity to extend federal power outside the Constitution.
Another effect of Clinton’s plan would be that victims of gun crime could sue firearms manufacturers. Not even Clinton’s chief rival for the Democrat nomination, socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders, was willing to go that far.
“If (gun makers) are selling a product to a person who buys it legally, what you’re really talking about is ending gun manufacturing in America,” Sanders said, according to Breitbart. “I don’t agree with that.”
The Fallon email refers to an interview in which Sanders “punts on gun manufacturer liability.”
That’s how far to the left Hillary Clinton is: Her press secretary thought Bernie Sanders was weak on one of the far left’s pet issues.
