Will Trey Gowdy,, an experienced federal prosecutor attempt to get Susan Rice to lie or mislead congress so that he can prosecute her? That’s what Judge Andrew Napolitano of Fox News thinks. Hold the boat. You want Rice to lie? Just tell her to talk and then step back. He believes that if Gowdy cross examines her, it’s likely that she will go to prison. For you doubters, remember just one thing. Loretta Lynch can no longer overrule US Attorneys who went to press charges like she did many times while serving Obama.
“I think the Trump administration is so furious, they will lay a trap for her and see in she will fall into it.”
“If you are under oath, as you will be, then there’s two potential crimes. Lying under oath and misleading,” he continued. “She has a track record of misleading. Serious, public misleading.”
To date, Rice has not yet been formally called to testify in the House Intelligence Committee’s ongoing probe into Russian interference in the 2016 election, despite calls from members of both houses of congress.
“I don’t think should just discount how big a deal it is that Susan Rice was looking at these,” Sen. Rand Paul told reporters last week. “She needs to be asked, ‘did President Obama ask her to do this? Was this a directive from President Obama? I think she should testify under oath on this.”
I think more importantly, President Trump is extremely angry over all the leaking that was done and he will press Jeff Sessions to toss the book at her and could even include sedition charges. He would like nothing better than to see her serving a term in a maximum security prison with Rosie O’Donnell and Sally Kohn as cellmates if at all possible.
