Cops, firefighters and paramedics all converged on Cher’s mansion in Malibu, California. It looked like some kind of an emergency was going on inside there. As it turned out, it was part of a wo week investigation into the sle of illegal drugs, that lead to to the death of a man from Fentanyl poisoning. Police arrested Donovan Ruiz, 23, who is the son of one of Cher’s assistants. The firetruck and paramedics were included in the raid in case it became violent, but the police arrested Ruiz without incident.
The son of one of Cher’s employees was arrested on suspicion of possession for sale of a controlled substance on Thursday, the same day the award-winning actress and singer’s Malibu home was searched by law enforcement.
Authorities took Donovan Ruiz, 23, into custody in connection with a two-week narcotics investigation that began when someone died after overdosing on fentanyl in Thousand Oaks, Ventura County sheriff’s Capt. Garo Kuredjian said.
Witnesses tell us several patrol cars are on the scene, along with a fire truck and an ambulance. We’re told the paramedics were there because cops were concerned violence might erupt during the arrest.
We know Cher is NOT at home … she’s on tour and has a show scheduled in Australia.
The police were out of luck as the biggest dope was out of town.
