We are beginning to learn more about the delegate selection process in Colorado. There had been a bill to have Colorado conduct a primary in 2016. It was sponsored by State Sen. Kevin Grantham. But when the bill was voted on in committee, all four republicans voted to reject the primary.
They are Sen. Kevin Grantham, Sen. Kent Lambert, Sen. Laura Woods, and Sen. Jerry Sonnenberg. Isn’t it curious that Grantham voted against a bill he sponsored? Maybe not.
Ever see the list of Colorado officials who are on the Colorado leadership team of Ted Cruz for President?
How coincidental. Three of the four republicans who stopped Colorado voters from voting for their favorite candidate are all on Cruz’s leadership team. And was the Colorado GOP as unbiased as they and Cruzbots seem to think they were?
Look at this announcement made after all Trumps delegates were locked out and the establishment picked their delegates without the aid of a single vote.
At the time of the vote, the Denver Post found it odd that the republicans voted it down:
It’s bad enough the two parties in Colorado don’t have presidential primaries in which many more voters would participate.
The caucuses already limit participation to a narrow slice of the electorate. But the fact that the Republican leadership then took matters a step further and deprived even that narrow slice of voters a voice in one of the most competitive, consequential political nominations in memory – and perhaps in history – is mind-boggling.
It’s likely that some Republicans who show up Tuesday will be surprised to learn their presidential preference is of no consequence. Perhaps someone should be on hand to explain to them why party democracy is apparently too disruptive and unpredictable to be trusted.
This Tweet (pictured right) was deleted within moments of it being posted to the worldwide web but not before someone was able to take a snapshot of it.
The truth is I don’t mind them stealing the 34 delegates as much as I do their lying about how it came about.
Just admit you wanted “Lyin’ Ted” to get all the delegates without the voters getting in your way. But I suppose when you support “Lyin’ Ted”, his lack of morals will rub off on you.
