Blacks Already Have Political Power, They Just Need to Use It

black-voters

For many years, blacks have complained that they have no political power and they sometimes blamed whites for their problems.  The white man is holding them back, they are told by their black “leaders”.  Whites will not allow you to succeed.  Bull shit!  In all things political, its about power and votes.  The politicians are like any other business venture.  They operate on incentives.  The more the incentive, the more attention you get.

Today, Black Lives Matter and the New Black Panthers claim to be seizing political power.  Nothing could be further from the truth.  Their violence alienates people in both the black and the white communities.  The Black community already has the ability to gain political power in this country.  It’s called the vote.

For many years, blacks have voted over 90% for the democrats.  And nothing the republicans do can change that.  And by the same token, knowing they have a lock on the black vote, allows democrats to concentrate on other constituencies.  This presidential election is no different.  You see the democrats falling all over themselves in order to ingratiate themselves to the gay and Hispanic lobbies. (Boy was that true this year also)But blacks are left out in the cold.

Indeed, no one has suffered more than blacks during the Obama regime.  Overall unemployment for blacks has reached 16.7% by August of 2011.  That’s almost double the national average.  Young blacks have it even worse.  Young black males ages 18 through 25 is 34.6%  It’s not much better for young black women at 30.2%.  These are breath taking numbers.  After the 2008 presidential election, blacks felt they were empowered because on of their own was now president.  That hasn’t been the case.  That’s because Obama’s allegiance is to ideology and not real living beings.  To make it worse, Obama is busy signing up one million illegal aliens (Soon to be 5 million) who will now compete for jobs against guess who?

To make matters worse, Obama and the democrats are bringing in refugees by the tens of thousands that also take jobs away from our young black men.  To add to that disadvantage, illegal aliens save businesses between $3,000 and $5,000 a year because they aren’t eligible for Obamacare and businesses with over 50 employees must pay for legal employees but not illegals.  taking that one step further, a company with 60 employees can hire 12 illegals and by law, they now have only 48 emplyees and can cut the other 48 employees from healthcare.

This year in recent polls Obama is getting 91% of the black vote, although it’s hard to say how many will show up this time.  In 2008, they had hope.  Here in 2012, they only have reality.  And the reality is that they don’t count.  Oh, sure, Obama and the democrats pay lip service to the blacks but that doesn’t translate into action.  They have simply been overruled by constituencies, they find more important.

The simple truth is it’s a case of scratching where it itches.  Republicans saved the Civil Rights Act of 1964, voting for the bill in majorities much bigger than the democrats did.  They also started Affirmative Action.  (I’ll bet you thought that was LBJ’s baby.  It was Nixon’s)  Despite that, republicans did not pick up any support within the Afro-American community.  There is no incentive for republicans to act on behalf of them.  On the other hand, despite their resistance to the CRA of 1964 and their failure on affirmative action, the 90% rule is in effect and they too, find themselves without incentive to act.

A prime example of the indifference Obama and the other liberals feel towards the black community is evident.  While still a candidate for president, Obama praised the DC voucher system for poor families, making it possible for tens of thousands of young kids to escape low rated schools and to go elsewhere in order to get a quality education.  However, within two months of taking office, Obama signed a bill eliminating school vouchers for DC.  He did this in order to make his superiors at the NEA happy.  Once again the incentive factor works against the blacks.  Republican majority leader, John Boehner got the money reinstated as part of the bargain to increase the debt limit.  In his latest budget offering that lost in the house and senate unanimously, Obama once again planned to kill the DC vouchers.

Now suppose for two elections in a row, blacks would divide their votes 80-20%.  This small swing would result in massive democratic losses.  The incentive would then be to mollify (their elitist word, not mine) the blacks.  The republicans fresh off major victories would then have incentive to build on their advantage.  Instant political power.  It’s so simple, yet it may never come to fruition.  Democrats hand out goodies to people who are disadvantaged in the job market and thus create a power base.  To assure they remain disadvantaged, liberals are bringing in refugees and illegals.

There is only one answer.  Conservatives must push ahead with school vouchers.  Not on a small scale but a massive build up of inner city education.  Cut the NEA and all other teacher’s unions out of the loop.  What is the incentive for conservatives?  There is none.  Since when do intelligent men and women need incentive to do the right thing.  We want to see young blacks attend decent schools, where they will be served with a good education.  We want them to attend college.  We want them to get good jobs.  We want them to be able to get even better jobs.  We want them to own the job.  We want their success to inspire our youth in the inner cities to see what is possible if they just work hard.  We want to see the permanent underclass become extinct.  Forget the incentive, do it now.

UPDATE:  Black conservative leaders are launching a program designed to explain to black voters why they should vote republican.  The list of leaders who will be participating in this program will be radio host, Wayne Dupree, UrbanCure president Star Parker and the niece of Martin Luthor King, Rev. Alveda King.
