Mark Curtis, a 92 year old veteran was attacked by an armed robber holding a knife, but considering what he had seen in his life, the experience may have seemed a little tame to him, even at ninety two years of age. Curtis joined the Army when he was just 17 years of age and fought in WWII. He won several medals including the Silver Star and a Purple Heart. He was captured by the Germans and spent nearly a year as a prisoner. He lost his hearing in one ear after a prison guard hit him in the head with the butt of his gun.
He was shot in the stomach, almost had his arm torn off by a hand grenade and still has shrapnel wounds to his leg and feet. After all he’s been through this thug with a knife wasn’t about to scare Curtis. The thug told Curtis to give him his money, but Curtis didn’t get scared, he got mad. He grabbed his arm and hit him in the face and the would be thief went rolling down the driveway. After that, he couldn’t get out of there fast enough.
Young thugs nowadays think they are tough but they don’t even know what tough is until they meet someone like Mark Curtis.
