The trust in our public officials is at an all-time low currently and this is not going to help bolster it in any way.
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy is fending off accusations of “orgies” and officials “taking cocaine right in front of him” from Rep. Madison Cawthorn.
Yikes.
That does not sound good at all.
However, there is a twist in the accusations thrown toward McCarthy since he is not backing down.
McCarthy stated that Cawthorn admitted that he had exaggerated his assertions regarding sex and drugs in Washington, D.C.
“There are numerous possible outcomes. However, I just informed him that he had forfeited my trust. McCarthy told reporters, according to Politico’s Olivia Beavers, “He’s going to have to earn it back.” “I mean, he’s made a lot of members quite angry.
