California’s leftist governor, Gavin Newsom, is taking aim at a major pharmacy chain that refuses to sell abortion pills in some states.
According to CNN Business, Walgreens will no longer sell the abortion pill in 20 states after Republican lawmakers in those states threatened to sue companies that sold the pill.
Although California is not one of the 20 states that will not receive the abortion pill, Gov. Newsom is upset about the situation and has stated that the state will no longer do business with the pharmacy.
On Monday, Newsom took to Twitter to complain, “California won’t be doing business with @walgreens — or any company that cowers to the extremists and puts women’s lives at risk. We’re done.”

First and foremost, who is the true “extremist” in this situation? Is it the Republican lawmakers who want to protect the sanctity of life, or the leftist governor who wants to make killing the unborn a human right?
It should also be noted that Newsom’s decision will only harm Californians, as they may lose access to essentials due to the governor’s refusal to do business with them.
One Twitter user wrote, “This will only hurt Californians.”

Another Twitter user stated that if Walgreens is forced to close locations, it will only hurt poorer communities by removing jobs and access to essential services.

Others praised Walgreens, saying that if Newsom is criticizing it, it must be doing something right.
Walgreens just became my pharmacy of choice!

Others criticized Newsom’s actions, saying that while he claims to stand for “tolerance and inclusivity,” his actions are the polar opposite, especially when one considers what he did to people who disagreed with the COVID narrative.
That's a very tolerant and inclusive decision.

California has faced significant challenges under Newsom’s leadership. Its crime and homelessness problems are escalating, and many people are fleeing the state as it becomes increasingly unlivable.
Instead of working to solve California’s problems, Newsom is obsessed with abortion and taking actions that will only exacerbate the state’s problems.
California will only get worse until Newsom addresses the issues plaguing his state and stops being distracted.
