After 24 years of marriage, Buhle and Hunter Biden divorced in 2017, not long before Hunter started a relationship with his late brother’s widow, Hallie Biden. The couple shares three daughters, and according to Buhle, Hunter’s addiction issues and infidelity left a trail of heartache and destruction in their wake.
Buhle’s book reveals how Hunter’s addiction took a heavy toll on their relationship. In a 2017 legal filing, she claimed that Hunter spent money on drugs, alcohol, prostitutes, and strip clubs. Now, it seems like some of the revelations from her book have led to Hunter being put under investigation.
Hunter’s laptop emails have raised suspicions about whether Joe Biden knew or was involved in his son’s shady business deals when he was Vice President. Emails show Hunter’s business partner, Eric Schwerin, describing himself as a “close confidant and counsel” to Joe Biden, further complicating matters.
The New York Post reported that Schwerin, who was the president of Hunter’s Rosemont Seneca Partners investment fund, was even involved in the Biden family’s finances. Buhle admitted that Schwerin had handled “almost every aspect” of their financial affairs.
As Hunter Biden’s troubles continue to mount, it’s hard not to see the double standard at play. The liberal media has largely turned a blind eye to the scandalous revelations involving Hunter, while relentlessly targeting conservatives for far less serious matters.
Hunter’s controversies don’t stop at his relationships; the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Delaware is investigating him over his “tax affairs.” CNN has reported that investigators are looking into whether Hunter and his associates violated tax and money laundering laws in their business dealings with Chinese companies.
To top it all off, the U.S. Secret Service recently found hundreds of documents related to Hunter Biden’s purchase of a handgun, which was later discovered discarded in a dumpster behind a small grocer in Delaware.
It’s high time the liberal media stops covering for the Biden family and starts addressing these scandals with the same fervor they’ve directed at conservatives. The American people deserve to know the truth about their political leaders, regardless of their political affiliation.
