Rosie O’Donnell’s Daughter Speaks Out For The First Time Since Running Away

The saga of Chelsea O’Donnell, who was reported missing by her adoptive mother Rosie, is ongoing.

After being found, it seems that the 18-year-old is finally ready to talk about her ordeal – or lack thereof.

She says it’s pretty simple: She left home, and her superstar adoptive mother, as soon as she turned 18 years old.

She headed to Wisconsin, to live with her birth mother, Deanna Micoley:

The younger O’Donnell has given her first interview since going missing, with Daily Mail:

Avoiding the topic of convicted drug dealer Steven Sheerer, whom she was discovered to be spending time with, Chelsea said “Everything is fine.”

Micoley, her birth mother, added that her daughter simply wanted to live with her, instead of the talk show mega-star:

“There’s nothing wrong with her. She’s out with family right now and she’s great.”

Micoley also laid some blame at the feet of Rosie O’Donnell, who has claimed that her daughter suffers from mental illness:

“I would just shake my head at Rosie at this point,” she said.

“I don’t think Chelsea has mental illness and I don’t think medication is something that she definitely needs.”
