Taylor Swift Blasts Kanye West For Offensive Lyrics About Her

Kanye West and Taylor Swift are at it once again. According to Swift’s publicist, the pop star was extremely offended by a lyric in West’s new song “Famous,” which debuted on Thursday at Madison Square Garden.

In the song, Kanye says: “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex…I made that bitch famous.”

West insists that he warned Swift about the line before the album came out, she maintains that that is not the case.

“Kanye did not call for approval,” Taylor’s representative told the press. “But to ask Taylor to release his single ‘Famous’ on her Twitter account. She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message. Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, ‘I made that bitch famous.’”

However, on Friday, West took to Twitter and said that he and Swift had talked for an hour on the phone, and that she had said she was fine with it.

“I did not diss Taylor Swift and I’ve never dissed her…” he started his rant. This is an interesting point to make for Kanye, given his infamous upstaging of Swift at the VMAs in 2009, where he praised Beyoncé’s performance as the “greatest of all time.”
