Ricky Charles, 52, was performing his fire breathing act in the gymnasium, during a pep rally at the Atlantic Community High School in Delray Beach, Florida, on Thursday.
As he was going through his routine, something went horribly wrong and Charles became engulfed in flames.
Pandemonium broke out as they tried to extinguish Charles. Â Charles was taken to the hospital to be treated for burns.
Several students were also taken to the hospital with complaints about difficulty in breathing.
