Thugs come in all shapes, sizes and even ages, as some teenagers can be cruel and vicious towards others their age who are smaller or weaker.
A 16-year-old on the Caribbean island of St. Lucia was recently attacked by several other teens outside a supermarket near La Clery in what appeared to be a revenge attack for the victim reporting the thugs’ drug use at school..
Thankfully, a good Samaritan was nearby, and after witnessing the lopsided attack on the helpless teen, he intervened and stopped the beating, according to the St. Lucia Times.
The 16-year-old had gone to the supermarket to buy ice for his grandmother, who works as a vendor near the beach.
As the boy exited the store around 11 a.m., four teens approached him and started a fight, according to the good Samaritan.
“One of them gave the boy one slap and a fight started,” Frumentius Jean Baptiste told the Times, explaining that once he saw the assailants overpowering the lone victim, he intervened.
Jean Baptiste was concerned that school-aged kids could demonstrate this level of violence toward their peer.
“That’s the kind of things that makes criminals,” he said, nothing that the victim wanted to get revenge on his assailants.
It wasn’t immediately known specifically why the fight ensued — other than these thugs were trying to pick on an easy target — but one of the attackers said the kid looked at them the wrong way.
The victim, however, had a different story about what really happened, explaining to the Times that this was actually the third time the group of punks had confronted him.
