It has been two weeks since Donald Trump was elected president and his popularity continues to grow. According to this morning’s POLITICO/Morning Consult poll of registered voters, Trumps popularity is on the rise.
Forty-six percent of voters now have a very favorable or somewhat favorable opinion of the president-elect. This is an increase of 9 points since the same poll was taken right before the election. On the opposite side his unfavorability rating has dropped 15 points from 61 percent to 46 percent.
His transition efforts are also garnering impressive numbers. Nineteen percent of those polled believe it is more organized than the efforts of past president-elects. Morning Consult cofounder and Chief Research Officer Kyle Dropp stated , “About half say Donald Trump’s presidential transition is as organized or more organized than previous administrations, whereas about one in three describe it as less organized than past transitions.”
The POLITICO/Morning Consult poll surveyed 1,885 registered voters and has a margin of error of plus or minus 2 percentage points. This survey was conducted from Nov. 16-18.
