University Student Gov votes White Guilt to give Blacks free tuition as ‘Reparations’

Despite the fact that there is not a single solitary black person alive who lived through the horrendous dehumanizing period of slavery, a university student government wants to give black students free tuition. You guessed it, because their white guilt dictates that these students are entitled to ‘Reparations’, according to Gateway Pundit. Is this lunacy since the former slaves and former slave masters are long since dead?

Yet, political correctness seems to be erupting on far too many college and university campuses like Western Kentucky University, where its student government voted Tuesday in favor of free tuition for black students as reparations for past misdeeds of slave owners. The resolution made a recommendation to the university to offer black students this free tuition ride, despite the fact that it assumes that all blacks derive 100 percent of their heritage from slavery.

This assumption is absurd on so many levels, yet the first is why do white students at this university or any university believe that lack of imaginary reparations is the ticket which has kept black students from graduating from high school and matriculating to colleges and universities? But, the resolution and the white liberal guilt that is logically behind it, refuses to address the right now 21st century issues, like failing schools and failing neighborhoods where blacks have been in control of both for several generations.

Yet, one of the resolution authors, Andre Ambam assumes that “racial disparity has translated into economic disparity, inhibiting black students from attending college,” according to WKU Herald. Just how will reparations change that?

What the resolution suggests is that the university should actually dummy down the entrance requirements by using test-optional admissions and admissions weighting based on geographical location, which the student government feels in theory, would make it easier for black students to apply and be accepted to WKU. This is wrong headed because, again, getting into a college or university is not the goal, staying and graduating from the institution should be the goal. No white liberal guilt can change that.
