A 15 year police veteran arrested has been arrested for persuading a woman he met online to sexually abuse their babies and children for child pornography.
Alberto Randazzo, 40-years old, was arrested at his Astoria home after being accused of sexually exploiting children and child pornography. According to a report, the suspect paid mothers to sexually abuse their young daughters for his sexual gratification.
Authorities have discovered sexually explicit materials on Randazzo’s belongings; however, it was unclear if it belongs to Randazzo or the police department.
According to the investigation, Randazzo induced women through websites such as Ashley Madison and Match.com to sexually abuse children so he could watch and sometimes film the abuse. Sometimes the victims own mother does the abuse to satisfy the sexual desires of the Randazzo. Prosecutors say the victims ranged in age from a few months to eight years old.

Authorities was alerted after Randazzo’s then-girlfriend after his she found his emails contained homemade child pornography and contacted police internal affairs investigators which led to his arrest on February 2013.
According to reports, his then-girlfriend has thoughts that Randazzo might be a pedophile because he spent more time talking to a seven-year-old girl at a holiday party than adults. She hacked into his iPhone and correctly guessing that his police badge number was his password. She also came across sickening texts telling another woman he wanted to have sex with her on a child’s bed.
Prosecutors said Randazzo, a 15-year member of the New York Police Department, targeted women between 2010 and 2013.
Randazzo pleaded guilty last July to conspiring to sexually exploit a child and receiving child pornography. He was sentenced to 28 years Wednesday by federal Judge Pamela Chen in Brooklyn.
Three of the women Randazzo solicited have also been charged in the Eastern District of New York. Two have pleaded guilty, one of whom was sentenced to five years in prison, one of whom is awaiting sentencing and another is awaiting trial.
