A British pedophile who forced a father to rape his own toddler has been sentenced.
Matthew Falder, 29, was sentenced to 32 years in prison and will only be eligible for parole in 2038 if he is deemed not dangerous, reports Sky News.
Falder admitted to committing 137 crimes over an eight-year period. These include encouraging rape, sexually exploiting children, blackmail, and voyeurism.
The research physicist and Cambridge University graduate committed all of his crimes online. He used his technological skills to hide behind over 70 false identities, blackmailing various victims into various lewd acts in a spree described by Judge Philip Parker QC as “a tale of ever-increasing depravity.”
“In more than 30 years of law enforcement I’ve never come across an offender whose sole motivation was to inflict such profound anguish and pain,” said Matt Sutton, a senior investigating officer at the UK’s National Crime Agency, CNN reports. “Matthew Falder reveled in it. His primary motivation was for power and control, suffering and humiliation. Believing he had superior intellectual and computational abilities, he was confident he could outwit law enforcement.”
