WHAT?! One State Proposes A Bill That Would Require ALL Men To Get A Vasectomy

Yup, your eyes and reading skills are working just fine.

Oh, the additional kicker? This ‘requirement’ if passed would be at the man’s expense, thanks to Representative Rolanda Hollis.

Fox 59 reported:

A proposed bill in the Alabama Legislature would require all men in the state to get a vasectomy within one month of their 50th birthday or the birth of their third biological child, whichever comes first.

I just have a few inquiries that I’d like to do further research on, but here are my thoughts…

So, if this bill passes, men are required to get vasectomies after their third child (which is just one of the proposed requirements) even though they have proven they don’t want their children murdered? Essentially, they’re being restricted and punished for… wanting their children?

Then, the other requirement is to receive a vasectomy one month after their 50th birthday. Well, happy freaking birthday.

I feel like the age factor is irrelevant to reproductive rights at that point.

Again, these are just speculations and not factual.

However, I’d love to more in depth rationale behind this other than ‘women can’t kill their babies anymore, so men have to kill the seeds that create the babies… because fairness.’
