It’s rare that we get to praise someone from Hollywood for doing something great.

But props are due to actor Channing Tatum, who posted a picture of himself with a soldier who died during an attack on a base in Afghanistan, along with a touching note giving honor to this brave warrior who defended our liberty.

Check this out.

The star posted on Monday to mourn the death of First Sergeant Peter Andrew McKenna, 35, who he met while on a USO tour in February.

“I’d like to offer my deepest condolences to the family of First Sergeant Peter Andrew McKenna, a brave soldier we had the honor of meeting in Afghanistan. He tragically lost his life in an attack on one of the bases we visited on @theuso tour back in February,” he posted. “Let’s always remember to thank the men and women who serve this county and so often sacrifice their own lives for ours.”

Classy.

The men and women of our military deserve all of the honor and respect we can give them, as they sacrifice more than you or I can possibly fathom in order to make sure we’re safe from those who want to destroy our way of life.

We should be sure to take every possible opportunity to let the soldiers in our lives know how much we love them and respect what they do for us on the daily, because you simply never know if you’ll have that chance tomorrow.

Way to go, Mr. Tatum.
