Trump has announced his amnesty deal and as expected, Ann Coulter is not happy:
Pelosi rejects Trump's amnesty deal bc it fails to "restore certainty to people's lives.” You want certainty? "You broke our immigration laws. We're deporting you. For certain."
— Ann Coulter (@AnnCoulter) January 19, 2019
Trump proposes amnesty. We voted for Trump and got Jeb!
— Ann Coulter (@AnnCoulter) January 19, 2019
Wow, those are fighting words!
Trump says USA doesn't discriminate agst immigrants based on race, sex, class, etc. But we DO discriminate on the basis of whether you live within walking distance.

But on the other end of the spectrum, Laura Ingraham sounds OK with the deal:
Today @realDonaldTrump is offering a deal to the Dems that is better than many of them thought possible a year ago. If they dismiss it, they’ve ignored DACA folks and security.
— Laura Ingraham (@IngrahamAngle) January 19, 2019
She used to be very down on it:
Any attempt to ram thru #DACA amnesty at end of year must be rejected. Don’t listen to Schumer or Flake, @realDonaldTrump! It’s a big $ trap—and electoral trap.

So Bill Mitchell is attacking Coulter for not being #MAGA enough!!

.@AnnCoulter is wrestling with Mitt Romney for title of, "Left's Most Useful Idiot."
— Bill Mitchell (@mitchellvii) January 19, 2019
Uh, so this isn’t amnesty?
Anyone on the right listening to Trump's offer of 3 year legal work status for DACA recipients and calling this AMNESTY is a damned fool and part of the problem.
Besides. Pelosi and Co. will NEVER accept this deal.
— Bill Mitchell (@mitchellvii) January 19, 2019
Krikorian doesn’t like it:
The key to this deal will be if Tillis et al. try to trick the White House by replacing simple DACA/TPS extension with Bridge Act (much larger from-scratch DACA-plus amnesty). I don't trust Senate GOPs not to screw it up, but what Trump announced isn't unreasonable.
