Montana is about to join the growing number of states banning the use of Sharia Law in America. The new proposed law has the unwieldy name of “An Act Establishing The Primacy Of Montana Law By Prohibiting The Application Of Foreign Law When It Violates A Fundamental Right Guaranteed By The Montana Or United States Constitution.” In other words, no Sharia law. The idea that the United States would allow a court to operate that supports the stoning of people, female genital mutilation and the killing of gays should be a no brainer but then again most liberals are no brainers.
Yet liberal judges are finding it unconstitutional to ban Sharia Law. Oklahoma passed a law forbidding all foreign laws to be banned in the United States. A federal judge declared the law unconstitutional and it was upheld by the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals. Hear that sound? It’s the Founding Fathers rolling over in their graves.
Sharia law is the religious law that is followed by Muslims in all aspects of their including civil and criminal by using religious texts like the Quran and interpretations of the Islamic holy book.
Sharia imposes strict punishments in civil, criminal and domestic cases, such as stoning and dismemberment, public flogging, divorce with inequitable division of marital property and even “honor killing,” “remedies” that are at odds with American law and vision of criminal sentencing.
While opponents of the bill, primarily Democrats, argued that it was designed to target Muslims, proponents noted that the bill specifically does not identify Islam, Muslims or Sharia law in the text and merely serves to reaffirm that the U.S. and Montana constitutions are the governing rule within the state.
“As far as being determined xenophobic, that’s an insult,” said Brad Tschida who represents Missoula. “I’m not intolerant. This is not anti-Muslim.”
It should not to a surprise to anyone that liberals come to the assistance of radical Islam. It’s just one of the many reasons why democrats have lost over 1,000 seats during the 8 years of Obama.
