Two of the first Freddie Gray protesters went to trial for torching a police car during the riots in Baltimore have been sent to prison.  Keith Riggins, 24, and Keon Brown, 23 were charged with torching a police car, resulting in $40,000 in damages.  The George Soros funded riots saw businesses and cars burned  and looted a year ago and became the rally cry for the Black Lives matter movement that has made it’s leaders rich.

Brown received a four year sentence for  first degree malicious burning.  Riggins received a two year sentence for conspiracy to commit first degree malicious burning, after he confessed to handing Brown the paper and lighter fluid used to burn the patrol car.  Both men will have to do 200 hours of community service once they have served their sentences.

The State Attorney, Marilyn Mosby said:

“The officers were attacked by rioters who attempted to turn over and set their vehicles on fire.  CCTV footage shows Riggins and Brown at the back of one of the vehicles. Riggins admitted to passing lighter fluid and paper to Brown, who then started the fire.”

“It is a person’s civil liberty to protest.  However, we will not tolerate protesters who vandalize and destroy our community and endanger the lives of others.”

The criminal investigation into the riots is continuing and the ATF (Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms) has offered a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the arson attack on a Baltimore Rite-Aid Pharmacy,

The ATF released the following statement:

“Over the past 12 months, the ATF, United States Attorney’s Office, Baltimore Police Department, and Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office have been investigating multiple crimes stemming from the civil unrest in Baltimore on April 27, 2015.  To date, over $20,000 has been awarded to citizens who have helped catch the perpetrators of several of those crimes.”
