Con Agra, the parent company of Banquet Frozen Dinners is recalling it’s popular TV dinners over salmonella fears due to the brownie mix.
The USDA Food Safety and Inspection service posted an urgent alert for consumers: the chocolate brownie mix found in over 110,000 Conagra Foods Inc. frozen dinner meals may contain salmonella.
Salmonella is a deadly bacteria that can ultimately lead to serious health complications, especially for children, the elderly, and pregnant women.
The bacteria contamination was discovered from one of Conagra’s suppliers.
The contaminated frozen meal includes breaded chicken nuggets, macaroni and cheese, and a chocolate brownie.
In addition to these frozen meals, Conagra Brands issued a recall for one of their Hunt’s chili products due to salmonella contamination early April of this year.
Four thousand units of a Mango frozen popsicle was also recently recalled by La Granja Inc. due to salmonella contamination on April 18th.
If you own any of these salmonella contaminated products listed above, please throw away or return to the store for a full refund immediately.
