Ben & Jerry’s Cookie Dough Ice Cream Recall Suspected Metal Shards

Here is a story that falls under “Public Service Announcement”. Ben and Jerry’s Cookie Dough Ice Cream has been compromised, and for safety sake be aware of the batch numbers.

 

According to Daily Mail.co.uk.:

Shoppers with a sweet tooth have been warned to keep a look out for shards of metal in Ben and Jerry’s ice cream.The dessert firm has said that its 500ml tubs of Cookie Dough flavor could be contaminated with metal filings.It is urging people to check product codes on the base of tubs to see if theirs is among those affected.Potentially dangerous batches are numbered L62110L011, L62111L011, L62112L011 and L62113L011It is suspected shards ended up in the food after mistake at firm’s factory.

“As a precaution, everyone with  this product in their freezers at home should check the batch number on the bottom of their tub to make sure it’s not affected.“And, if it matches the batch numbers listed above, they should not eat the product and, instead, we ask them to discard the product in the usual household bin.”
