BLM groups are not amused by a memo released by Guccifer 2. In it the democrats describe BLM as a radical group:
“BLM activists don’t want their movement co-opted by the Democratic Party. They are leary [sic] of politicians who hijack their message to win campaigns.”
DCCC counseled Democrats to listen to activists, but to do so in “personal or small group meetings.” “If approached by BLM activists, campaign staff should offer to meet with local activists,” the memo says. “Invited BLM attendees should be limited.”
BLM responded with a statement of their own:
“We are disappointed at the DCCC’s placating response to our demand to value all Black life. Black communities deserve to be heard, not handled. People are dying.”
“We demand, and are fighting every day for, a radical transformation of American democracy where all Black lives are valued. We expect that our elected officials will stop pacifying and take us seriously.”
The democrats tried to do damage control on the issue but it’s not apparent that they have been successful.
Under a section titled “tactics,” the memo instructs: “If approached by BLM activists, campaign staff should offer to meet with local activists. Invited BLM attendees should be limited. Please aim for personal or small group meetings.” The memo instructs staffers to “Listen to their concerns” but adds, “Don’t offer support for concrete policy positions.”

DCCC memo on Black Lives Matter, released to the public by Guccifer 2.0
“Do not say ‘all lives matter’ nor mention ‘black on black crime,’” reads a section titled “Message.” The memo notes that “This response will garner additional media scrutiny and only anger BLM activists.”
When talking with the media, Democrats are instructed to say that “A history of systemic racism continues to confront the daily lives of African Americans.”
