Dominique Alexander, a BLM organizer of the Dallas rally where five policemen were slaughtered, was sentenced to five years for continual violating the terms of his parole. He was serving parole for a previous conviction for harming a toddler by shaking it. The judge, State District Judge Gracie Lewis, sentenced him to serve two years, which meant with time served, But it was pointed out that she missentenced him and she was forced to go back in and correct it by adding three more years. So how did he get out in 8 days?
State District Judge Gracie Lewis
Well, it took some creative accounting. She counted the time he was on probation but free as a bird as time served and that meant he only had to serve eight days. Lewis has not responded to inquiries and many in the court system question her methods. (I wonder if she wears her BLM button on the inside or outside of her robe)
Alexander, who has a history of run-ins with the law, pleaded guilty to a charge of serious bodily injury to a child in 2011. In his signed confession for the case, he admitted to shaking a 2-year-old boy in July 2009 and striking him with an object, court records say.
Recently, though, Alexander was playing the role of an activist in Dallas. Much of his activism was through the Next Generation Action Network, a group he founded that seeks criminal justice reform.
Alexander was one of the organizers of a downtown protest that was interrupted on July 7 by a lone gunman who ambushed police officers, killing four Dallas officers and a DART officer.
