Alicia Machado was named by Hillary Clinton as having been shamed for her weight in 1996 by Donald Trump because she gained a whopping 33 pounds while representing the contest, has a very shady past which includes accusations of assisting in a murder and threatening the life of a judge. In 1998, Machado was seen driving her boyfriend from a murder he had just committed. She initially claimed she was doing some filming at the time. When the police found out she lied, she changed the story to she became sick and stayed home alone.
The prosecutors decided there was not enough evidence to charge her as an accessory. When a judge ordered up an arrest warrant on her boyfriend, Machado told him she was a friend of Bill Clinton’s and he would ruin the judge and then she would murder him.

Machado later admitted she made the call but insisted she only called the judge to congratulate him on being impartial. Yeah, I believe that. She had a two hour meeting with the judge alone in his chambers and the judge, Rafael Caldera, who then refused to prosecute her. Now, that I believe.
But now two Associated Press reports from 1998 have revealed the Machado was accused of aiding attempted murder and threats to kill in Venezuela.
DailyMail.com has asked the Clinton campaign whether they knew about the accusations, which do not appear to have ended in conviction, before the candidate spoke about her at the debate.
The campaign also organized a conference call for reporters on Tuesday with the now 39-year-old actress, in which she spoke almost exclusively in Spanish to continue the attacks on Trump.
The troubling details of what Machado was accused of emerged after she had reigned as Miss Universe in 1996.

But her lawyer, Ricardo Koesling, was quoted in a local newspaper calling the claims ‘a huge stupidity’ and saying: ‘She wasn’t even present at the site of the incident.’
Machado was not indicted when the judge in the case said there was insufficient evidence that she was at the scene of the alleged crime.
