During a campaign, presidential candidates and their advisers do many things to maximize their chances of winning. Sometimes they are minor adjustments. Several times during this campaign, Hillary and her handlers have cancelled ads in states they decide they can’t win. They then move that money to ads in other states. But, sometimes moves that are made are sensational and show that a candidate could be in dire trouble.
Hillary is such a politician and today she made a major move that proves she is in deep trouble. Today her campaign has given up on Florida, Ohio and North Carolina. That’s major news, especially since for months election “experts” agreed that Hillary had to have Florida.
Consider this. In 2012, Mitt Romney received 206 electoral votes but he lost Florida and Ohio. Those two states have a total of 47 electoral votes. That would give him 253 electoral votes. He has a big lead in Iowa that Obama won twice. That adds six more for a total of 259. That leaves Trump just one state away from victory.
Trump would win if he took one of the following states in which he appears to be tied with Clinton. Virginia, Pennsylvania or Michigan or a combination of smaller states lied New Hampshire and Colorado. He isw also competitive in New mexico.
First, the black vote is down considerably over 2012 numbers – numbers many of the Mainstream Media polls have been using as a template for their polling samples. Hillary Clinton was never going to get out the black vote like Barack Obama, and yet the polling firms continued to sample as if she were which resulted in Hillary polling better than she actually is.
Second, the white voter turnout is said to be up – BIG-TIME, and Trump leads among white voters over Hillary – BIG TIME.
Third, Trump continues to show well among independent voters.
Fourth, Trump is doing better among female voters than some of the Mainstream Media polls have indicated.
Lastly, Trump is doing better among Hispanic voters than some of the Mainstream Media polls have indicated.
Just remember one thing. Hillary could still one or two of the states she isn’t trying to shore up tomorrow. If Trump is close to winning the presidenct, turn to CNN and MSNBC. In 1994 I switched and got to watch Peter Jennings fight back the tears. It was great.
