Clinton Crony Caught Praising The Supreme Court Leaker!

Who’s the leaker? Following Monday’s shocking admission regarding a landmark abortion ruling, the Supreme Court has launched an investigation to find out why.

In a statement released Tuesday, Chief Justice John Roberts stated,This was a single and egregious breach of that trust that is an affront to the Court.”

According to the Associated Press, Chief Justice John Roberts affirmed that the draft opinion is genuine, but stressed that “it does not constitute a decision by the Court or the final view of any member on the issues in the case.

“To the extent, this betrayal of the confidences of the Court was intended to undermine the integrity of our operations, it will not succeed. The work of the Court will not be affected in any way,” Roberts said.

It comes after Politico obtained a draft opinion indicating that the Supreme Court will overturn Roe v. Wade when the decision is made public in a few weeks.

And since the story emerged, there are different reactions to the leaked Supreme Court draft opinion and speculation has been swirling, was it one of the justices? One of the clerks?

The response to the content seems to be matched by that of its context with different takes on the person behind the leak.

Hillary Clinton’s former Press Secretary Brian Fallon called the leaker a “brave clerk” on his Twitter post he wrote:

“Is a brave clerk taking this unpredecented step of leaking a draft opinion to warn the country what’s coming in a last-ditch Hail Mary attempt to see if the public response might cause the Court to reconsider?”

Fallon continued, praising the leak and urging similar tactics in the future. The former Clinton aide called the court “wholly unaccountable” and “citizens who rip the veil off” SCOTUS deliberations.

Hillary Clinton, the failed Democratic presidential frontrunner for 2016, was also one of the first to comment.

This decision is a direct assault on the dignity, rights, & lives of women, not to mention decades of settled law. It will kill and subjugate women even as a vast majority of Americans think abortion should be legal. What an utter disgrace,

“An extremist Supreme Court is poised to overturn #RoeVWade and impose its far-right, unpopular views on the entire country. It’s time for the millions who support the Constitution and abortion rights to stand up and make their voices heard. We’re not going back — not ever,” she said.

She also wrote on Twitter:

Not surprising. But still outrageous. This decision is a direct assault on the dignity, rights, & lives of women, not to mention decades of settled law. It will kill and subjugate women even as a vast majority of Americans think abortion should be legal. What an utter disgrace”

Sen. Amy Klobuchar said:

“November’s election is now the most important of our lifetime to protect women’s rights,”

“It is a fundamental right for a woman to make her own health decisions. We must protect the right to choose and codify Roe v Wade into law,” she said.

In a joint statement, US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate majority leader Chuck Schumer said:

“The Republican-appointed Justices’ reported votes to overturn Roe v. Wade would go down as an abomination, one of the worst and most damaging decisions in modern history.

“Several of these conservative Justices, who are in no way accountable to the American people, have lied to the U.S. Senate, ripped up the Constitution, and defiled both precedent and the Supreme Court’s reputation – all at the expense of tens of millions of women who could soon be stripped of their bodily autonomy and the constitutional rights they’ve relied on for half a century.”

New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez also said:

“As we’ve warned, SCOTUS isn’t just coming for abortion – they’re coming for the right to privacy Roe rests on, which includes gay marriage + civil rights. Manchin is blocking Congress codifying Roe. House has seemingly forgotten about Clarence Thomas. These 2 points must change.”

And Sen. Elizabeth Warren said:

“An extremist Supreme Court is poised to overturn #RoeVWade and impose its far-right, unpopular views on the entire country. It’s time for the millions who support the Constitution and abortion rights to stand up and make their voices heard. We’re not going back—not ever.”
