Donald Trump scored the first victory, winning the coin toss that allowed him to go second. Both candidates wanted to go second, so a coin was tossed.
Clinton was up first. Hillary was asked what her best qualities she felt that would serve the people best. She answered restraint and judgement. I find that unusual since she pushed for the invasion of Iraq and actions taken in Libya, that led to major destabilization of the country. Her judgement is obviously flawed. Her decision to run her own private server, invasion of Iraq, war in Libya, mismanagement in Benghazi, the Russian reset button. When did she ever show good judgement?
One thing you will notice is the difference between Clinton and Trump. Hillary danced around most of the questions and more or less filibustered to keep from giving a straight answer. Trump on the other hand answered every question with the exception of refusing to outline his plan to defeat ISIS. Trump correctly noted that you never want the enemy to know what you are going to do. That forces them to consider every possibility. Clinton said she would never put troops on the ground against ISIS. I’m sure that would take a load off their mind.
Hillary also said that the deal with Iran keeps us safe from a nuclear Iran. I blame that statement on the massive amount of drugs she does for her health. The latest leaks show that Iran could develop a nuclear bomb within five years. Yeah, what could possibly go wrong with that?
On the VA, Hillary claims that the problem is the VA isn’t getting the records on vets. That’s nonsense. Vets wouldn’t be placed on the waiting lists if they didn’t have the records. Hillary previously said that the VA was doing a good job.
On suicides, Hillary didn’t really get around to answering the question. Trump correctly pointed out that many vets commit suicide because they can’t get help from the VA and under his administration, if vets can’t get help at the VA, they can go to a private or public hospital and the government will pick up the bill.
Bottom line is Trump gets it and Hillary was just working to keep from giving a direct answer to any question.
