Because of his repeated allegations that former President Donald Trump and Russia conspired to rig the 2016 election, Republican Rep. Anna Paulina Luna of Florida submitted a motion to expel Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff of California from Congress.

These assertions were completely refuted this week when special counsel John Durham came to the shocking conclusion that the FBI had no grounds to look into then-candidate Trump in 2016 or later.

For years, prominent Democrats have used the FBI probe into Trump’s campaign to discredit him as a devoted Russian asset.

For years, Schiff has exploited the continuously dubious and now categorically debunked accusations to attack his political rivals and elevate his standing among Democrats.

As we all know, for years Adam Schiff has been claiming that he had concrete evidence that would put Trump away for good.

In fact, Schiff was quite the staple on CNN and MSNBC for years peddling these wild claims.

Luna announced on Wednesday that it was time to expel him from the House for knowingly “lying.”

“Adam Schiff lied to the American people,” the first-term Florida Republican said.

“He used his position on House Intelligence to push a lie that cost American taxpayers millions of dollars and abused the trust placed in him as Chairman,” she said.

“He is a dishonor to the House of Representatives.”

Luna said Schiff intentionally misled the country for the purpose of furthering division.

“The Durham Report makes clear that the Russian Collusion was a lie from day one and Schiff knowingly used his position in an attempt to divide our country,” she concluded.

The congresswoman shared a copy of the resolution on Twitter.

“Knowingly using your position on House Intel to push a lie that ripped apart our country, cost taxpayers millions of dollars, and authorized spying on a US President and then proceeding to double down on the lie within days of the Durham report coming out makes you unfit for office,” she said. “Ethics should investigate.”

Durham claimed that the Trump/Russia probe should never have received authorization in the 300-page report.

“Based on the review of Crossfire Hurricane and related intelligence activities, we conclude that the [Department of Justice] and FBI failed to uphold their important mission of strict fidelity to the law in connection with certain events and activities described in this report,” he said.

In his report, Durham also claimed that rogue FBI agents had conducted the inquiry dishonestly and had discovered “no evidence of collusion.”

The special counsel also discovered that Peter Strzok, a former FBI agent, had a personal grudge against Trump before the protracted probe got underway.
