Elizabeth and Tom Boyce, Texas, have a family of five kids to care for and their own blogs to tend.
Tom has a disability that demands lots of care, making him bed-bound and often unable to see his lovely big family for long periods of time. the solution? They decided to move the family to Tom.
They have built a bed fort that links mattresses for Zach, 11, Izzy, nine, Ben, seven, Owen, three, and baby Elijah, one, with the two parents, placed in the middle. We kind of want one just for us. Posted online, Elizabeth provided a handy diagram explaining how their sleeping arrangements work. And of course, in true form, the internet couldn’t comprehend how this arrangement worked for one reason. How on earth do they do the dirty?
Elizabeth had this to say to that:
“I think what it boils down to is your lack of imagination. I am sure you can figure it out.”
“In our house, by moving everyone into one room, we suddenly had several other rooms that were completely empty at night and we no longer had small children wandering, crying into our bed in the dark.”
Yeah, guys. Jeez. Stop being so unimaginative!
