Court Didn’t Like The Results and Orders North Carolina to Vote Again

court

A three judge panel for the liberal federal panel of the Middle District Court has ruled that the districts were drawn up with too much emphasis on race.  They have ordered North Carolina to redraw 28 districts that republicans won “disproportionately” and then hold new primaries and elections in 2017, ignoring the will of the people in the last election.

Rep. David Lewis and Sen. Bob Rucho wrote in a joint statement.:

“This politically motivated decision, which would effectively undo the will of millions of North Carolinians just days after they cast their ballots, is a gross overreach that blatantly disregards the constitutional guarantee for voters to duly elect their legislators to biennial terms.”
“We continue to believe the maps drawn by the General Assembly, pre-cleared by the Obama Justice Department and twice upheld by our state’s elected Supreme Court are constitutional, and we will move quickly to appeal.”
Think about it for a minute.  The NC Supreme Court, which is made up of people elected statewide agrees with the election map and the Obama DOJ approved the map.  So what is the problem?  Simple.  Democrats didn’t win enough seats.  This will not affect congressional, Senatorial or presidential voting.  It only applies to state Senate and House elections.
This reeks of liberal federal judges trying to steal an election.  But it could end up biting the democrats in the ass.  If the GOP appeal should fail, there would be nothing to stop the GOP across the country to challenge electoral maps in blue states across the country.  Liberals have long claimed that they disproportionately made districts African American to create safe “Black seats.”  Not so.  They have created safe white liberal seats by lumping all minorities in the same district.  By following the same rules in New York, Mass and Californis, many white liberals would be out of their jobs.
