A father, shopping with his baby at the Meijer grocery store, found himself in a frustrating spot as the center of unwanted attention. Bothered by their glares, he couldn’t figure out why there were all just standing there. When he finally made it to the checkout, a sales clerk came up behind and stunned him with what she did when he turned around.
This dad’s day hadn’t been going well. The father, Maxwell, was forced to leave work early to attend to his sick infant, Chelsea, since his wife was unable to break away from her job. When he got back to his house, he sent his daughter’s babysitter home, then tried to get his baby’s temperature down. Distressed about what to do, he called the pediatrician, who sent him to the store with a short shopping list of things his child needed, but that trip didn’t go at all as he had hoped.
According to the Maxwell’s post about the incident on Facebook, he packed his baby up and begrudgingly went to Meijer as a matter of necessity, despite how ill his little girl was. To his surprise, his sick kid actually kept it together pretty well in the store. Sitting in the cart, she was happy for the first few aisles, until they rounded the corner to grab some baby food. That’s when her vomit came back with a vengeance, and she puked all over herself, the father, and the floor.
With a cart full of items, a sobbing baby, and the two of them being covered in vomit, the father just wanted to pay for his groceries and get out of there. He was pushing the cart with one hand and holding Chelsea in his free arm, when he got to the front of the store and stopped all shoppers in their tracks. Rather than helping, the dad said everyone just stared and even formed somewhat of a circle around him to watch his struggle, right as his daughter began to puke again.
