Katie Stricker Curtis, from Detroit says that just because she was becoming a mother doesn’t mean she has to grow up. As she lay in the hospital bed while in labor, she put on the Chewbacca mask which transformed her cries of pain into Shyriiwook, the Wookie language from Star Wars.
Mrs Stricker Curtis later gave birth to a baby boy, Jayden, before posting the amusing video to her Facebook page.

The new mother’s video took off and has since been viewed more than 85,000 times and praised by thousands of parents the world over.
