Three people were killed Tuesday morning, including the suspected gunman, in a shooting at a UPS facility in Birmingham, Ala., MyFoxAL.com reported.
The identities of the victims and the shooter were not immediately released. Lt. Sean Edwards, from the Birmingham police, said one employee in uniform is confirmed dead.
The Birmingham News reported that the gunman is dead. The paper described the man as a white male in his 40s. Edwards says the gunman was an employee of the company.
Atlanta-based UPS said in a brief statement that the shooting happened around 9:40 a.m. local time. The company added that it is fully cooperating with the investigation.
